Excitable Andy was raised in a barn

I didn't think anyone suffered Palin Derangement Syndrome as much as Keithy Slobberman, but Excitable Andy proves me wrong.

10.49 pm. Piper is poking Trig in the eye!

Would someone please emain the nitwit and tell him we all say Piper smoothing down Trig's hair?
10.40 pm. We've just seen a picture of a seven year old cradling and stroking the hair of a Down Syndrome infant. This, apparently, is relevant to deciding who should be the next vice-president of the United States.

Excitable Andy should take that up with whomever was in the control box directing the cameras. Unless he thinks Sarah was moving the cameras with her terrible telekinetic powers.
10.39 pm. I'm just slack-jawed that, so far, the entire speech has been basically about her family. She seems as if she just won a reality show and is introducing her folks. And they have passed the baby now to four different people - including another child. Slack-jawed.

Take that last and couple it with this just under it, under the title "Parading the Baby"
Did I just see Cindy holding Trig? I mean: can we have it one way or the other? Either the family is out of bounds or it is in the spotlight. Brandishing a Down Syndrome child as a campaign statement is daring the press to ask questions about him. And if you are going to hold the baby in front of the cameras, how can you say that the details of his birth cannot even be discussed?

Excitable Andy doesn't have much exposure to families. And I guess babies might make him feel a bit squeamish, seeing how they are made. But I know from my own brood and loads of friends with medium to large families that the kids go everywhere with . When we all gather for important stuff - graduations, weddings, holidays, the babies are there too.

And everyone wants to hold the babies! Babies are always getting passed around among aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, friends. It's just something done among the wild denizens of life outside of Manhattan Penthouses.

Or maybe Excitable Andy is just old-fashioned and believes such an embarrassment of a Mongoloid creature should be locked away in the attic.

Now I recall, during the Democrat "You are all VICTIMS" telethon, Obama was on live via satellite, talking to his daughters in front of a huge audience.

Michelle Obama gave the headlining speech tonight at the Democratic Convention. Barack joined the crowd via satellite after she was finished and praised his wife. Obama's daughters were thrilled to see him, and frequently, and adorably, interrupted their father with shrieks of "Hi Daddy!". Obama also mentioned two different cities for his location, first saying "Hello from Kansas City," and then saying he watched the speech with a family in St. Louis. One of Obama's daughters corrected him, asking, "What city are you in, Daddy?"

Funny, but Excitable Andy has nothing to say about Obamas' "Parading the daughters." How about it, Andy? Why didn't you demand an examination of Michelle's vagina? Or question Barry's fitness as a father seeing as he is spending so much time away from them? Or maybe, not to say it is true or anything, but musing that maybe he's not with them that much and passing them off to other family members because he really isn't their father? How about demanding some DNA tests, just to put those rumors to rest?

How about it Excitable Andy? Where's that "true conservative" pluckishness and fair play?

It occurred to me- that liberals and those like them (lol) despise the FAMILY. They really do. A family gets in the way of fun things; a FAMILY is for show and tell for them, but no one else. Kind of like that trophy on the shelf thought.

They are scared to their deaths about this woman. Who is very much a lady, who doesn't thump her bible yet remains religious, faithful, honest, biting, in your face all the time.

And, besides, what sane person would continue a pregnancy KNOWING the baby would be born with a disability?????

Oh yes, Raven. Palin explodes the Patriarchy Mythos. The liberal program aims at overturning the traditional family. I recently re-read the seminal work of the Frankfurt School, Eros and Civilization, widely considered the book that spawned political correctness and most other neo-liberal ideas. It's a frightening book. Raymond Rauhn wrote in 1996,

Critical Theory as applied mass psychology has led to the deconstruction of gender in the American culture. Following Critical Theory, the distinction between masculinity and femininity will disappear. The traditional roles of the mothers and fathers are to be dissolved so that patriarchy will be ended. Children are not to be raised according to their biological genders and gender roles according to their biological differences. This reflects the Frankfurt School rationale for disintegration of the traditional family.

Many people, who are not ideological Marxists, have unwittingly cooperated with this program because it seems to empower women. Palin shows the superfluidity of such notions most clearly. She is literally a living refutation of neo-liberalism.

I can think of about a dozen punch-line answers to that question, none of them suitable for mixed company.
