Facts? Facts?
We don't need no stinkin facts. We get to make up facts in order to advocate our political position. When confronted about phony facts, we get to call bogus facts "interesting" or "controversial" because we know what's best for you.
But fact facts? Don't be silly. Don't be so old-fashioned. Facts are what we tell you they are. Perception, dude, perception.

Annie Jacobsen doesn't need any facts when she's shrieking about Muslims on a plane.

"Annie Jacobsen doesn't need any facts ...."
And that is relevant to this post how?

She wrote the linked article. Reading is Fundamental. Her past "work" casts doubt on her credibility.

Josh
Does her past work diminish the efficacy of the present post topic? RIF. How does her past work "cast doubt on her credibility" relevant to the topic?
You are changing the subject.RIF

This piece is in keeping with her "Muslims on a Plane!!" illogic, wherein she takes one isolated fact and unjustifiably jumps to an inflammatory conclusion. Here, unable to find Shanley's source for the statistic, Jacobsen googles a phrase, which leads her to another piece, and then goes off on that. There's no connection between the Shanley piece and the NYT piece except that googling a phrase that appears in the former turns up the latter. Pretty slipshod if you ask me.
