F*ckwit of the Day Award

Jihad McGovern - PhotoshoppedWhile a crowd in Virginia is screaming "Allahu Akbar" in greeting to the terrorist-front organization CAIR's handpicked candidate Keith Ellison, an apparition from the past, George McGovern, is attempting to lead the charge to the rear.

George McGovern, the former senator and Democratic presidential candidate, said Thursday that he will meet with more than 60 members of Congress next week to recommend a strategy to remove U.S. troops from Iraq by June. [...]

"The best way to reduce this insurgency is to get the American forces out of there," McGovern said. "That's what's driving this insurgency."

McGovern told the audience Thursday that the Iraq and Vietnam wars were equally "foolish enterprises" and that the current threat of terrorism developed because not before the United States went into Iraq.

Wow.

9/11 didn't happen. The Cole didn't happen. Bin Laden's declaration of war against Jews and Americans is a figment of our imagination. Dead Jews in Israel due to Saddam's bounties? As much a hoax as the Holocaust.

America, especially the American military, is solely responsible for Islamist terrorism. And American surrender will mean peace, love and fluffy bunnies.

...[insert string of creative profanity here] ...

Names.

I want names of every fucking Democrat that attends this Surrendercrat McGovern's shitfest. Not one of them deserves their office in Congress and their constituents should know about the yellow ass.

you just don't get it, do you Darleen?

There was no al Qaeda in Iraq before the U.S. invasion. Even those who subscribe to the "flypaper" theory should agree that the terrorists flocked to Iraq in 2003, not before, and made it the central front of the GWOT -- it was not the central front before. And our presence there has fueled the insurgency. Every time we bomb an Iraqi house and kill a family, we create more resentment and hatred by the family's neighbors and one of their sons joins the insurgency. Why can't you see that?

And as for bin laden's declaration of war -- THAT was in large part a response to our occupation of the Muslim holy lands in Saudi Arabia after the first Gulf War.

The West has been fucking up the Middle East, and supporting dictators and thuggish rulers for a century now. We supported Saddam, pre-1990.

It's time we got out.

OMG! Just when I thought the utter depths of irrelevant, embittered, and discredited leftists had been plumbed, ala Jimmy Carter, low and behold they find this. I wondewr where though, Madame Toussaud's or perhaps a crypt in Transsylvania?

You mean when we brought troops in and setup airbases at the direct and specific request of the Saudi royal family to act as a deterrence to any further threats from Saddam? That "occupation"?

Nice job trying to justify Al-Qaida's hatred against us, but you'll have to use another example.

BTW, are you aware that Bin Laden hates the fact that the Royal family (and not him) is in control of the "Muslim holy lands" just as much as he hated that Americans were defiling Saudi soil? And remember, we closed the Saudi bases and pulled ALL troops out several years ago. Did Bin Laden rescind or modify his declaration of war? Not one bit. That's because the issue of US troops in Saudi Arabia was merely an excuse, not a justification, for Al-Qaida's jihad against the west.

The West has been fucking up the Middle East, and supporting dictators and thuggish rulers for a century now. We supported Saddam, pre-1990.

All true. However, post 9/11 we were forced to rethink that mentality, weren't we? Saddam was the first dictator to go.

It's time we got out.

Sounds good on paper, but what do you suppose will happen in the real world when we withdraw all our troops from Iraq?

That's the dilemma facing the Democrats now. After 3 years of bitching about the failures in Iraq, they are suddenly in a position to do something about it. So what do they do? You can debate and complain about the decision to go into Iraq all you want, but it's a moot point... we're there now and we have to deal with it from this point forward. The Dems can't just pull us out, watch the country slide into total chaos and then say shrug their shoulders and say that it's all Bush's fault for putting us there in the first place. It's no different than when you're sitting in your car at a traffic light and the light turns green but there are still cars going through the intersection. You have the legal right of way but can you just charge into the intersection and blame any resulting accidents on the other drivers? Sorry, but the law is clear that if you have the ability to prevent the accident from occurring but fail to take appropriate action to prevent it, then YOU are at fault, regardless of whatever the other person was doing. That's the same thing facing the Dems in Iraq.

So tell us, what happens we pull troops out prematurely?

Oh yes they can, and yes they will.

Short sighted bastards.
