Women in the United States are second class citizens

Topic now open for debate. Give it your best argument, affirmative or negative and remember:

Assertion is not argument.

The only women in the United States who are second class citizens are those that allow themselves to be.

Sounds like an assertion, rather than an argument .

With all the extra consideration you get for loans as a new business owner I'd say the white male is the second class citizen. You get extra points if you're missing a penis or have a little tone to your skin.

But looking past these "affirmative action" type things I'm with sparkle on this, it's all in what you want to do and whether you are dedicated.

When was the last time a guy went into a job interview with a female business owner who has kicked serious ass in the business world and gone home saying "sheesh, she'd be much more successful if she were a man".

It's all in what you do with your knowledge and talent.

Women are in a class by themselves. There are those that may want others to believe that women are second however I think not. The woman is what virtually activates source of what moves the man whether it is negative or positve. Once the man learns to accept the wonders of the women as assets rather than distractions they may be able to consider the correct solutions to important issues/situations. For example if the President is making sound decisions for the country overall he more than likely is consulting with his First Lady. If he is not making sound decisions then he and his wife are not on the best of marital terms. Women are what makes the better difference while allowing the man to create an even stronger endurance within themselves which builds logevity within the family. This contributes to a class of subjects with the abiltity to stand on their own...Women they are second to none.

Except when a woman files for divorce, and lies about being physically abused. The husband is then kicked out of the house or even thrown into jail. The system rewards the woman, and makes the man pay. He must pay for the mortgage, the utilities, etc. even if his wife is cheating on him. Then she can have the boyfriend move in and they can both live of the ex-husband for several years.

I'm a proud equity feminist.

Part of the Women's Movement. But not the Womyn's Movement.

- Mother taught Me that woman are the smarter of the two sexes. So at the risk of making an assertion (a good sexist comment here might be "at the risk of making an insertion" but I digress)I have come to believe that woman have things pretty much the way they want them at any given moment, and if not they have several tools at their disposal for remedying any slights or unjust situations. Several tools spring to mind, including but not limited too, the "sleeping on the sofa fix", the "I've got a headache" ploy, and if all else fails, the "frying pans hurt a lot" manuever. For as long as we men think with our dicks, and anthropologists say it will probably never change, I don't see this happy state of affairs changing any time soon. Bon appitite'

- btw I really like Michele's writing. Almost as much as I enjoy yours Darlene sweets. But as far as her strident, pillage and burn 'tude, I couldn't be in the same room with her for more than five minutes without taking her over my knee and spanking the crap out of her. Must be the Neadranthal in Me.....
