Funny girl!!

I have to say this picture is befitting.

The dems seem to be stuck in some sort of popularity contest mode. Even the people who vote dem do the same. The only candidate to run in the dem primaries who made a lick of sense was Wesley Clark and the public didn't choose him because he wasn't "flamboyant" enough. No, they would rather have a flashy, wealthy guy like Kerry with a questionable past.

In my humble and imperfect opinion, neither party has all the answers and if the Dems don't come up with a viable candidate we will continue to have single party mentality for another eight years.

Maybe GWB will suprise us all with tangible, open minded policies. I voted for him last time as being the best choice available but there are some issues of the Libertarian party I wish he would consider.

Pray for divine intervention.

One of my friends is a formerly reasonable Leftie who officially jumped the shark this past election.

I used to enjoy talking politics with him. I felt as though we had good exchanges. He always challenged (and sometimes changed) my beliefs, and I felt the conversations kept me open toward other viewpoints.

These days, I refuse to engage him in political discussion. I lose respect for him each time he opens his mouth about politics.

Yesterday he brought up Howard Dean and said, "He'll be good for the party. We shouldn't be moving to the middle. We just need to find better ways of explaining ourselves."

I just smiled.
