The second comment is about spending and after watching George blow up the deficit in a time of plenty (and spending one trillion blowing up a country which didn't attack us), I'd think you should just go read some Keynes and stop listening to Limbaugh.

ML, between the times you make stupid comments and the time you make dumb observations, you confuse me as to whether you are dumb or stupid. I play on Patterico all the time, although for the last couple of days I've been busy at work...and a bit freaked out at the level of hate and anger my opinion cause in Eric and John and Pablo and the rest of the crew.
It might explain my returning to 1999 marginal tax rates for 2% of wage earners causes them so much consternation, i.e. they are just angry unserious people*. At any event, every once in awhile I get bored playing with engineers and chemists and insurance claim deniers who act like they know anything about governing, when they just don't care.
*Just because I referred to "them" in the third person doesn't mean I don't think you're better than them. I actually think you're much less accomplished than most of Patterico's commenters.

It's like if Goldstein had a job and wasn't a narcissistic, ban-happy jerk. Patrick is a far-right loon, but he's fair-minded and intelligent. His commenters are mostly unrepentant neocon, rabid right-wingers. Some are quite accomplished in their technical field and some are actually quite nice.
Most, however, are your typical conservative technocrats. They were raised by conservatives or came to it college, took only their MBA classes or their engineering classes and have never really read anything but ideologues and polemics.
Plus, there are a bunch of Protein Wisdom refugees and their venomous spitting is pretty rank, but that's because they don't like my name.
Lastly, and most troubling, there are a gang of tribalists over there who sole avocation is insulting anyone who questions the movement. I find these people particularly troubling.
In sum, most of the people are wicked smarter than ML and Patrick is often provocative. Be forewarned, deviate from the mean and you will be attacked by the "Others," but I sense you have the ability to avoid them....you're crafty

I doubt it's a coincidence, ML, it's more like probability.
Think of it in a Bell Curve way: you are near the bottom end of intelligence, thus the majority of the people you meet are smarter than you. It's only probable that one of those smarter people would also disagree with you. It's a function of the application of statistics.

College, ML? I graduated college almost 20 years ago. I don't live in a dorm; I live in a house with a family (whom I don't believe are condemned to Hell for believing differently than I do).
I find it interesting you quote the time I googled a verse and put a wrong cite, when you are wrong about entire structure of religion. The bible was not written by a bunch of dudes who wanted you to know whom to hate, ML. Frankly, much of what you believe of it, as I've referred you to in the past, is false. There was no Creation or flood or Exodus. There was no triumph over the Canannites, etc. All of these things have been shown to be fictional.
You focus on talking snakes and virgin births and forget to focus on loving your neighbors.
So, that's one major way I know more about the bible than you do.
Continue your jihad against the Muslims, ML, and please stop guessing about things. You are a terrible guesser.
PS I wouldn't go near a site where you have admin privileges, as I've stated before. I learned some time ago how dangerous crazy people with admin privileges are.

That's a strawman, timb, as most Christians don't claim that the Bible is entirely literal.
The Creation story in the Bible is actually a very good *metaphorical* description of the origins of the universe. Jesus spoke in parables, perhaps the older stories did too?
(Actually, I'm an atheist -- but I'm willing to acknowledge the metaphoric nature of much of the Bible, and the wisdom behind it. I do, after all, try to follow seven of the Ten commandments! Sniggering at the silly little religious folk just makes you look like an adolescent. Grow up.)
