Vetting the Obama partisans 'Reporters'

The NYSlimes, desperate to drag Obama into the White House, publishes a hack-rehashed hit piece on Cindy McCain.

Cindy is the Second Wife!. Yawn
Cindy is Younger than John!. Ho hum.
Cindy was Addicted to Painkillers! Lordy, anything new?

So let's take a peek, shall we, at what "reporter" Jodi Kantor did in preparation for writing this breathless tome. Seems the "principled journalist" Kantor decided to slum around Facebook and solicit gossip from 16 yearold classmates of Bridget McCain. Here's one of Jodi's emails

I saw on facebook that you went to Xavier, and if you don’t mind, I’d love to ask you some advice about a story. I’m a reporter at the New York Times, writing a profile of Cindy McCain, and we are trying to get a sense of what she is like as a mother. So I’m reaching out to fellow parents at her kids’ schools. My understanding is that some of her older kids went to Brophy/Xavier, but I’m trying to figure out what school her 16 year old daughter Bridget attends– and a few people said it was PCDS. Do you know if that’s right? Again, we’re not really reporting on the kids, just seeking some fellow parents who can talk about what Mrs. McCain is like.

Also, if you know anyone else who I should talk to– basically anyone who has encountered Mrs. McCain and might be able to share impressions– that would be great.

Thanks so much for any help you can give me.
Jodi Kantor

Jodi's campaigning for Obama in the pages of the NYSlimes knows few bounds. Certainly her pointed, slam-piece on retired Jews in Florida is a great example of falling in line with Obama's demand that any criticism against him, any vote for McCain is nothing more than racism

Kantor’s main goal is to show us that all who question Obama are fools and backward morons. If in so doing she fosters hate, then so be it. Victory for the extreme left is all that Kantor and the New York Times have ever cared about.

Kantor’s not a racist, an anti-Semite or anti seniors. I believe her to be Jewish herself (so much for Jewish intelligence). I doubt that she has anything against senior citizens, except for conservative ones. But with her “save Obama at any cost” tactics, she may as well be all three.

Of course, it's not like Ms. Kantor has such a vaunted reputation in the first place.
When she was the young editor of the ’Arts & Leisure’ section of The New York Times, riding the coat tails of disgraced editor Howell Raines, Jodi Kantor came to be the willful embodiment of downmarket journalism. Since her ’reassignment’ after Raines’s departure, Kantor has practiced her hackwork in long form, chasing the Zeitgeist, writing thought pieces for the Times on pressing subjects such as the changing size of television sets.
Jodi's rehash on Mrs. McCain is not the first time she finds herself just pointlessly rewriting stuff already known in order to justify her paycheck.

Goodness knows, she rode into the NYTimes with little more than perkiness that stirred the loins of her middle-aged male bosses.

"I never thought I could make it as a journalist," Ms. Kantor said. "I thought it was like being an actor; I thought for every successful journalist, there were two or three thousand talented young wannabes who had just never gotten their chance at success."
Maybe there is more to how she got her job than just a well-written letter. Come on, Jodi, you wouldn't mind a little dirt digging and gossip mongering on you, would you?

Comments

Asked what her parents do for a living, she replied, "You know what? I have a little pet peeve, if you don't mind. I hate talking about parents and professions and stuff.

Too bad, Jodi. Your "pet peeve" just became non-operative.

That's cool, Jodi. How do you feel about tax records, criminal court proceedings, divorce court records........?

Posted by: Cowboy at October 18, 2008 10:48 AM

My heart bleeds borscht for poor billionairess adulterous drug stealing plastic faced Cindy. LOL! If Jodi here has to take one for the team so be it. There's no way they'll find any dirt on her to rival the shit sundae that is Cindy McCain.

MSM reporters have finaly found their ecological niche: the political equivilent of head lice.

Leah, what is it specifically that so pisses you off about Cindy McCain? From your comment, I'd guess that it's the fact that she has money and is attractive.

...hmmm...

I hope someone who knows this trash writes you....God we really need to vet these "vetters" better....more trash out everyday which means the owners are not doing the vetting.....which leaves US!

Leah, if you're as ugly in the face as you seem to be given your droppings here, please do the world a favor and stay indoors as much as possible.

Or, a paper bag, if you must venture out.

Of course, here comes the ad hominem attacks from the wingers - you've all got slimy souls underneath your stinky sanctimony, that's always a given.

Am I jealous of Cindy's plastic face? About as much as I'm jealous of the fake mugs Phyllis Diller and Joan Rivers have - although at least they have enough class to laugh at how foolish they look.

Honestly, I'd rather see the Times expose Sarah's anti-American Secessionist ties or McCain's palling around with felons like G. Gordon Liddy or Charles Keating. But Cindy has exposed herself with her foul attacks on Michelle Obama, so I don't feel sorry for her. She's just your run of the mill amoral elitist - the kind who would steal drugs from a charity to feed her habit, the kind who would disinherit her own step siblings even though she's got more money than God, the kind who would steal the husband of a crippled woman. Just about what we'd expect from a sanctimonious right wing billionaire alcohol heiress.

here comes the ad hominem attacks

Says the sweet voice of reason who gave us gems such as:

Cindy's plastic face

shit sundae

etc.

Pot. Kettle. Bitch.

I'd guess that in addition to the reasons already given, Leah is jealous because Cindy McCain has:

A husband.
A family.
A productive way to spend her time.

I'd be interested in knowing Lea-ha's IP address.

Maybe she'd also be interested in "taking one for the team".

Posted by: Laughing at Lea-ha at October 18, 2008 03:10 PM

LOL! As if any woman would be jealous of having that piece of decaying manflesh in her bed! Ha! That's one reason I do feel sorry for old Cindy! Though I highly doubt they spend much time in one another's company. Their body language is pure ick.

Not going to defend myself to someone who signed up just to attack little ole me....and you can check my IP all you want, creepy one. It tracks back to my humble abode and a perfectly ordinary American family. Have at it. I'm shaking in my boots. LOL!

Posted by: Leah at October 18, 2008 03:43 PM

"Signed up"?

Just how stupid are you, Lea-ha?

Smart enough not to double post, dumbass.

Posted by: Leah at October 18, 2008 03:58 PM

By the way, Lea-ha, why is responding to a (presumably) adult troll "creepy", while stalking 16 year old kids isn't?

You evil fucking bitch.

Does the word "projection" mean anything to you, sweetie?

So, you're a winger, Leah? You know, since you started the ad hominem attack thing on this thread.

Cindy is a trophy wife and she makes all the money, so apparently she really likes him.

Its not like he has all the money and looks and he landed her. What’s so hard to figure out about that?

Posted by: ML at October 18, 2008 10:48 PM

I attacked Cindy McCain, a public figure who has made outrageous public statements about other public figures. If you read this or any other wingnut blog, you'll see that they all but compare Barack Obama to Satan. It's all part of the game. I can absolutely guarantee that neither Cindy nor Obama will ever see this obscure, silly little blog. In fact, I doubt that it got more than 2 or 3 comments a month until I started posting here.

Too bad that this isn't about Cindy McCain, but about a sleazy "reporter" who's stalking 16 year old girls on Facebook.

That's okay with you, Lea-ha, 'cause Jodi is on your "team". Remember?

You evil fucking bitch.

Posted by: Laughing at Lea-ha at October 19, 2008 09:41 AM

I think it makes Lea-ha feel better to type "evil fucking bitch". You conservatives are an angry bunch, aren't you?

Posted by: Leah at October 19, 2008 10:27 AM

You support a woman who stalks 16 year olds on Facebook.

That makes you an evil fucking bitch.

Own it, sweetcheeks.

Its always easy to pick a lefty out of the crowd. First clue is the number of adjectives used against other people, surprisingly even on their own. The second is the vileness of said adjectives.

Leah sweetie, beauty is only skin deep. Ugly goes clear down to the bone and soul.

Therein lies a major issue with libs. Some are nice to look at....

I don't remember the slime reports about Kitty Dukakis coming out until AFTER the election. Funny how some things work, isn't it? Didn't the Times endorse Dukakis? But the reports of Kitty's very current and well-known alcoholism did not surface until after?

It must have been really great to be the Arts and Leisure editor of the New York Times, but I bet it sucked to have washed out of Harvard Law after a disastrous first year.

Oh wait, she's NOT the editor of that section anymore. I wonder how that feels.
