Fascist Democrat America

Ah, the sweet sweet appetizer of the coming Obamerica!

ABC reporter Asa Eslocker arrested for photographing Democrats from a public sidewalk.

Screenshot above from video here. Story here.

Video taken at the scene shows a man, wearing the uniform of a Boulder County sheriff, ordering Eslocker off the sidewalk in front of the hotel, to the side of the entrance.

The sheriff's officer is seen telling Eslocker the sidewalk is owned by the hotel. Later he is seen pushing Eslocker off the sidewalk into oncoming traffic, forcing him to the other side of the street. [...]

During the arrest, one of the officers can be heard saying to Eslocker, "You're lucky I didn't knock the f..k out of you."

Eslocker was released late today after posting $500 bond.

I work with cops. I have a great deal of respect for cops. But this was beyond the pale. This was cops acking as paid thugs for the DNC to keep embarrassing pictures from the press. What fool believes a public sidewalk is owned by a private hotel?

Those so-called Denver cops should be immediately suspended and the DNC should be held accountable.

Hmmmm.... is that a Chill Wind I feel emanating from the DNC?

Kind of puts all that blather about how our civil rights have been crushed by the BushReich into perspective, doesn't it? Sadly, this is nothing new for the Democrats. They did the same thing when Kerry was running for office.

Nothing succeeds like success.

Oh puleeze. Granted this was stupid, but whose stupidity was it? The DNC's? The hotel's? The individual cop's? Of course this is WAAAAAAAAAAY worse than anything Republicans have ever done - like arresting (or having their rent-a-cops arrest) people wearing t-shirts expressing anti-Bush opinions, right? Uh ... didn't think so - in fact didn't some court award not insubstantial damages to the people whose free speech rights were "man-handled", as it were, in the aforesaid arrest?
