« Fire season ablaze in So Cal | Main | Why couldn't the white people just die? »

What a difference, eh?
So much smoke and ash yesterday (as I left work the sun was barely visible and my car looked like it was covered in grey snow) I developed the worst of headaches, got home and slept through the night.
Here is a good resource for fire coverage plus a fairly good interactive map.
We've been keeping in touch with the in-laws in San Diego and the stories coming from the unprecedented evaucation are amazing.
Qualcomm Stadium is a major evacuation shelter and it certainly speaks to the competence, intelligence and seriousness of San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders (who directed authorities to put out over 270,000 "reverse 911" calls telling people to evacuate and where) when compared to the fiddle-playing Nagin of New Orleans.

As an outsider, I'm asking is this year any worse than previous years? This happens every year, and every year it becomes the focus of MSM coverage (time filler?), & this year Harry tried to blame global warming before he didn't, even though this was happening back in the '70' when we were doomed by an oncomming ice age. My burning question is (pardon the inappropriate pun)is this Bushes fault? And if so, how.
