This reminds me of something. Oh, wait I know..

Ten years ago, for 100 days, Hutu tribesmen rampaged through Rwanda, slaughtering Tutsi men, saying (in their own words) "exterminate the Tutsi cockroaches." ...

Do you advocate genocide of the Persians Darleen?

Brad, you seem to be determined to be branded as nothing more than a troll. Being needlessly provocative is not the same as being challenging.

Actually, Chris, anyone familiar with genocide over the last hundred years would recognize that labeling one's enemies, en masse, as vermin (and cockroaches in particularly) has rather nasty historical connotations that are best avoided. Both this Michael Ramirez hack (and Darleen) have previously demonstrated that a tin ear when it comes to such things, even going so far as to explicitly invoke the "stabbed in the back" metaphor that was popular among Nazis in the Weimar period. Wingnuts aren't known for their subtlety.

Sure, that's why she got Michael Ramirez to draw a cartoon. It's as plain as day!

Makes total sense, huh Brad?

Posted by: Pablo at June 26, 2007 04:03 PM

Yeah, Brad. That cartoon just showed up randomly on the blog. It's as plain as day!

Posted by: Josh at June 26, 2007 05:56 PM

That map is pretty accurate :)

Did it ever occur to anyone that the cartoon just might represent Iran's sponsorship of global terrorism? Anyone? Buehler?

Posted by: Chris at June 27, 2007 05:42 AM

Geez, Brad, you're right. I want to kill all Persians and I guess I could start with the three Iranian-American attorneys I work with ...

you putz, Pulitzer Prize winner Ramirez's cartoon is not about Persians, its about the diseased ideology of fascism being spread by Iran.

How do you like Hamasistan, Brad?

Posted by: Darleen at June 27, 2007 06:07 AM

Chris

Brad is unserious about "Persian" or "Arab" terrorism because...well, the only bad actors in the world are America and Israel. Can't blame "The Other" so anyone that does has to be a "hack" (from Websters: person who works solely for mercenary reasons; a writer who works on order;) You see, Chris, more proof about Leftists who really believe that people who don't follow Leftist cant are not sincere in their beliefs - non-leftist beliefs are illegitimate.

This Ramirez guy is really original.

Check the June 13, 2007 cartoon. This hack couldn't even wait 2 weeks before recycling his "idea".

You should expand your reading, Darleen. "Hack" can also mean hackneyed, banal,

Posted by: Josh at June 27, 2007 08:11 AM

I know Brad is unserious. I was just having a little fun. It's hard not to feed the trolls just a little bit.

Posted by: Chris at June 27, 2007 03:28 PM

Unserious? Troll? I think I've contributed quite a lot of informed comment to this blog over the years.

If you Right Wingers would stop for one minute and think about your symbols...well, then I guess you'd be Left wingers.

Posted by: Brad at June 27, 2007 05:39 PM

Darleen, one more thing: I challenge you to show the Ramirez cartoon to your three Iranian-American attorneys and ask them what they think. Get them to post here if they are not offended.

Uh, no, because you clearly didn't do it before posting the ridiculous drivel in the first comment above. All you people see is hate, largely because you're engulfed in it.
