'All right, who invited Congress?'

Use of the Alamo as a metaphor for the Iraq war is an interesting choice. Maybe reality is starting to seep into the wingnut mindset, if only subconsciously.

Among those "surrender monkeys" would include not just Democrats but the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. John Abizaid and Gen. George Casey, commander in Iraq. All opposed the so-called "surge".

But never mind! The Right wants to blame this fiasco on the Left, and they're going to spin and spin and spin.

Hey, Josh, can you say "Republic of Texas"? Yeah, Santa Ana won a battle. And lost the war. The rest? as they say, "is history".

I can only imagine what this Congress would say about the losses at Tarawa (1,068), Iwo Jima (6,825), or Antietam (2,108 in 12 hours).

Hey darth,

None of those battles is really an appropriate analogy for Baghdad. Try Dien Bien Phu.

But it is good to see Darth acknowledging that we could withdraw from the Battle of Iraq yet win the larger war on terror. Looks like even the dead-enders are starting to come around.

Interesting how Brad picks his analogies; if it suits his narrow little mindset, it's TRUE!
So predictable.

Hey, kids--I know it's hard! to understand, but sometimes, especially in CARTOONS, a cigar is just a cigar. Desperate, aren't ya?

Hey look! There are bars on that window in the toon! That means Abu Ghraib! It's symbolic of the Evil Zionist War Machine's Torture Masters™!

LOL!

Yeah, we all know that cartoons never use metaphors. LOL!

Posted by: Josh at January 11, 2007 03:20 PM

Hey, anybody up for some cartoon riots????? Thats what we'll wind up with seven days a week once the Dems surrender Iraq.

Sure we will.

So... we've had an FOB overrun and forced to surrender after a long siege?

Oh wait, we haven't. So much for the attempt to invoke the specter of Dien Bien Phu.

Oops.

Deer Josh, it's always easy to cute and run. It's a lot harder to stand and do the right thing.

Of course, two years after we pull out, people like you will be crying great big huge crocadile tears over the "ethnic cleansing" going on in the "Iraqi civil war" by the "evil Shite's" and that We Simply Must Do Something To Stop It.

Additionally, the Democrats in the early 1860's advocated a similar "Cut and Run" strategy...and Lincoln was "teh Devil".

Ethnic cleansing's already going on.

Additionally, the Democrats in the early 1860's advocated a similar "Cut and Run" strategy...and Lincoln was "teh Devil".

Sadly, 'tis true. Conservative Democrats did do that. Conservates have a pretty bad track record on human rights.
