NY state court: No right to same-sex marriage

UPI

NEW YORK, July 6 (UPI) -- The highest court in New York ruled Thursday there is no constitutional guarantee of same-sex marriages, and sent the matter to the state legislature.

In a 4-2 decision, the Court of Appeals ruled, "Whether such marriages should be recognized is a question to be addressed by the Legislature."

Marriage is a public institution and the definition of parameters of participation in that institution are up to The People.

I'm shocked that there are still judges that recognize such common sense.
