Mt. Soledad War Memorial - Execution stayed

Breaking

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court intervened Monday to save a large cross on city property in southern California.
A lower court judge had ordered the city of San Diego to remove the cross or be fined $5,000 a day.

Justice Anthony Kennedy, acting for the high court, issued a stay while supporters of the cross continue their legal fight.

Lawyers for San Diegans for the Mt. Soledad National War Memorial said in an appeal that they wanted to avoid the "destruction of this national treasure." And attorneys for the city said the cross was part of a broader memorial that was important to the community.

Let me add a rather provocative statement I heard Michael Medved state only about an hour ago (paraphrased as best as I can recall).
You cannot be a proud, patriotic American and be hostile to America's Christian heritage.
The poltroon that has pursued the destruction of this war memorial should leave this country for one more suited to his black little heart.

Stop the ACLU has more.

"You cannot be a proud, patriotic American and be hostile to America's Christian heritage."

Unfortunately, that does not present much of a dilemma for most of the loony left.

- We're going to win this battle with the Atheist asshole that started it all. Even if we have to pull it down, sooner or later the Feds will declare it a National park, and then it will be put right back, except this time it will be out of reach of the bastards. We're even going to add more lights so at night it can be seen easier. I hope that fuckwad dies of an ulser....
