Cat blogging - new babies in the house

It's been a little over a year and a half since we lost Feathers. I've been offered kittens several times but just haven't felt the time was right to start again. Last month I even traipsed through some local shelters, but none hit that crystal chord inside take ME home.

Until yesterday. I tried one of the smaller, older ones in my area, knowing that while I couldn't adopt them all, I could give a home to two. I spotted two little balls of fluff, sisters, one of them looking remarkably like Feathers! Six weeks old, they'd never known anything but the kennel at the shelter. I filled out the paperwork, tucked them in the cat carrier and brought them home.

It didn't take them long to start exploring, scampering around the first floor, climbing up on the couch, and (typical kitty fashion) climb into my lap and immediately fall asleep.

I'm in love.

I put out the call to my Cotillion sisters for names and, immediately got a great set!

Ladies and Gents, please meet ...
