Another huh? Murtha moment

The thing that disturbed me and worries me about this whole thing is we can't get them to change direction. And I said over and over in debate, if you listen to any of it, in Beirut President Reagan changed direction, in Somalia President Clinton changed direction, and yet here, ....

The last time the meteors came, we thought the sky was on fire. Naturally, we blamed the Irish. We hanged more 'n a few.

obl.jpgAfter leaving Afghanistan, the Muslim fighters headed for Somalia and prepared for a long battle, thinking that the Americans were like the Russians. The youth were surprised at the low morale of the American soldiers and realized more than before that the American soldier was a paper tiger and after a few blows ran in defeat. And America forgot all the hoopla and media propaganda ... about being the world leader and the leader of the New World Order, and after a few blows they forgot about this title and left, dragging their corpses and their shameful defeat.

You may find the Vets for Irey site interesting. I'm sure Rep. Murtha (D-Al Qaeda) does not.

As seen on Little Miss Attila.

Somalia was a mistake. Even the Neocons aren't advocating going back into Somalia.

From what I've read, Somalia, like Iraq, is a good place to stay out of.

Nobody is talking about going back into Somalia. We've already failed there. Regardless of whether or not it was a mistake, getting into it and then running away inspired Osama Bin Laden.

Regardless of whether or not Iraq was a mistake, tucking tail and running away, as so many on the left want to, will inspire more terrorists. How is it possible to so blindly ignore the obvious?

Wasn't this part of the conservative argument for not going to Somalia in the first place? Committing our forces to a battle we weren't interested in finishing would just make us look weak when we did eventually, inevitable, leave. I mean, if you really believe we should have committed to Somalia then, then you have to support massive intervention in Somalia and Sudan now, since there's strong evidence (and well known history) of Al-Quaeda presence in both of these states. You might also want to look at the Congo.

This is really a statement about mutually beneficial relationships between terrorist organizations and kleptocratic failed states. And if you want to interfere in every kleptocratic failed state in Africa and the Middle East, well...You're going to be pretty busy. I would suggest starting with the madman in Zimbabwe.

Hey, did anybody see General Casey's troop withdrawal plan involving a significant deduction of troops by the end of 2006 with complete troops withdrawal by the end of 2007? Can we say Cut and Run? Did we hear and read the comments and op-ed piece by Iraq's Interior Minister about troop drawback at the end of 2006 and completely out by 2007? Can we say Cut and Run? Not Cut and Jog but Cut and Run by General "John Kerry" Casey!!! Well...Lie and Die isn't working. Murtha reminds the American people that this war was started and being run by a bunch of draft-dodging, pink-team pansies who have not seen one single second of combat and credible military experience in their entire, collective lives. Freakin Neo-Cons...bunch of privaleged Jew brats! Oh and our involvement with Beirut is what inspired the rogue CIA contractor to turn against us. Whats blindly ignoring the obvious is there was no terrorism in Iraq until we paved the way for it. Women in Iraq could attend college and enter the work force and now they can't because we took out an Imperialistic Dictator who believed in free-market capitalism and replaced him with an Islamic Dictator and turned Iraq into another Iran. All this for the purpose of making sure China didn't get it's hands on the 2nd largest oil reserve in the World when the sanctions lifted. Our troops are nothing more than staplers and paper-clips for Exxon/Mobil and Haliburton and now, we can barely hang onto that because we allowed idiots to run the war. You wanna win the war on terrorism? Cut off our dependency on their black-oil dicks!!! If they don't have our money than they can't afford to attack us.
