More on the difference between the Left

and the rest of us.

Wise insight from Dennis Prager

... the Left hates inequality even more than it hates evil. Or perhaps more accurately, for the Left, inequality is the ultimate evil. [...]

If ever there were a smoking gun as to what animates most leftists, the many expressions of the need for judges to favor "the little guy" in their courtroom constitute that smoking gun. The prime Democratic objection to confirming Judge Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court was that he does not rule in favor of the average Joe in his courtroom. [...]

Democratic Sen. Herb Kohl: "The neutral approach, that of the judge just applying the law, is very often inadequate to ensure social progress . . . "

For those on the Left, law, and everything else, is subservient to equality.

And no more is this illustrated than by the jaw-dropping lawsuit from an ever-increasing insane "A"CLU, covered by the inestimable Jeff Goldstein. Think of it. A so-called "American" organization filing a lawsuit declaring that communication between the Mohammed Attas of Islamism and a fellow traveler in the United States is so private no one is allowed to even note its passing from a foreign land into the United States.

Prager's just getting his kicks demonizing people who disagree with him.

Yes, people on the left tend to be egalitarian.

So what?

Yes, they tend to use the courts more than the legislative process.

So what?

What's that got to do with any question concerning good or evil?

Not much I'd say.

It's just Pragerism; wich is form of modern-day Manichaeism; my beliefs make me good; your beliefs make you evil.

Don't forget hatred of privilege of any kind too, which relates to inequality. If you have any sort of privilege that someone else doesn't have, you are automatically deserving of taunting and insults. Example, during the New York transit strike, many of us opposing it were met with remarks like, "Oh go back to your cushy office living off daddy's trust fund" (even though I don't have a trust fund--the idea is if I oppose the behavior of anyone who happens to be working class or a minority, I must be Paris Hilton rich and full of hate).

The same in the social work field. In the training I got, if you had privilege of any sort, you were expected to be sorry for it and put your life down for it ("I feel bad that my parents paid for college, because my clients' parents can't," etc.).

That's the whole idea of progressive income tax too. We can't let anyone make too much money because that isn't nice, so once you reach $100k/year, we'll tax you down to $30k to take your privilege away.

Where does Dennis say all members of the Left ARE evil? He states quite clearly (and it can be easily demonstrated) that the Left doesn't CARE about evil.

I find the attitude that a judge NOT judge but be a social worker appalling.

Don't you?

The left just divides everyone up by racial groups, economic status, religious affiliations, sexual orientations, and/or genders. An attack of one gay is an attack against all gays....an attack of one black is a racist attack against all blacks, and attack against a Muslim usually is racist and intolerant of all Muslims, etc etc.

This is the left's gimmick to kinda trick people into thinking the democrats are on "all black people's side" or "all the working people's side" etc. Calling the right or Alito, specifically in this case, "anti-woman" or "anti-minority" is just their gimmick to remind people THEY are "pro"-woman (as in 'all women should vote for us') and "pro"-minority.

Feisty--right on regarding the group mentality. I can't tell you how many times, when calling out a leftwing blogger about statements or comments I consider offensive, I've been told that I'm "stopping women from expressing themselves" or "Typical white girl, telling black people what to think." I always think, Uh no, I'm not stopping "women" or "racial groups," I'm talking to YOU, and that wasn't "expressing yourself;" that was calling me a name. The obliviousness baffles me at times.

The well crafted myth of caring about the little guy, coupled with transparent "identity" politics, and a continous drum beat of the "ucaring Conservatives that keep reducing social programs" is the religious mantra of the left. Moreover, they desperately need to maintain 'em down on the farm. Effective social programs that would actually allow people to improve their standard of living would be a disaster to the moonbats, since improved status would leave the people absolutely no reason to need a Socialism-based party. They'll discover life on the moon before the Lie'berals will ever give up the "little guy" sacred cow. If they ever did they'd lose 3/4's of their base, and the Dem party would disappear like the dodo bird.
