A few words on women's tears

Let's leave aside, for the moment, the nature/nurture origins of what I'm about to say. Men and women generally act differently when emotionally overwhelmed. Each individual may have a different threshold, breaking down during a crisis or after it concludes, but that time will signal a demarcation of sex.

If someone you love is being treated shabbily, unfairly and unjustly, is being bullied and slandered in front of you and you can't do a thing about it, there will come a time when your frustration reaches such a threshold that you'll react.

Men lash out.

Women leak.

Some don't get it.

UPDATE and some assholes refuse to get it. (h/t Michelle Malkin)

Not to worry, Marian. Just read your piece and I like it.

and I love it, Alito and his family economically don't even get anywhere near the trustfund-baby background of Uncle Teddy and Mrs. Alito is pampered?

Absurdities like that make one almost speechless.

I know. It's EVERY SINGLE TIME they have to use that "Stepford" and "overprivileged" slam against us. Do they honestly think that all Dems are working-class, and all Repubs are rich?

And if having an emotional bond with your husband makes one a Stepford wife, then that is a sad commentary on how the left thinks marriage is about.

Exactly. Or...Ted Kennedy!!

Graham caused her to cry. It was Graham's words that did it.

Graham asked Alito if he was a closet bigot. That is when she broke down in tears. Check the video.

In Graham’s wacked out world (and probably all of yours), he thinks the Dems were accusing Alito of being a bigot. His belief is false. What Graham doesn’t understand is that you don’t have to be a bigot to have prejudices. The Dems were pointing out that Alito’s past and his record as a judge shows that he has a high bar set when it comes to determining whether a case constitutes discrimination or not.

In after thought, I don't even know I'm even bothering with someone who haptips to a so-called "Libertarian" who argues for Intermint camps like Malkin.

Disenfranchised--You're right that it was in response to that comment. And maybe she was touched by the remark; you know, when someone hears nothing but criticism, and then finally hears support for the first time, it can move one to tears.

What I personally object to is the insinuation that her crying--whatever reason it would be--makes her Stepford. That's all.

Oh and for the record...Not sure if that was intended for me or Darleen, but I'm not generally a fan of Malkin's. But I thought in this case, she made a good post.
