It still doesn't make the war any more popular.

And it wont save the GOP's bacon as this war drags on.

The Dems are using the absolutely normal distaste for war by any normal person purely for political gains. At this point I wouldn’t vote for a Democrat for park cleaning duty. I’ve lost all respect for the other side after watching their manipulations and self-serving perfidity. In fact, though they may think this is the only choice they have, I wouldn’t be all that surprised if they take an even bigger beating in the upcoming elections. Those that live by the lie, fail by the lie.

Get back to me when you have a plan for how to get Sunnis, Shiites, and Kurds to live in peace together. That's the central problem in Iraq, and until you can find a credible solution, you have no reason to support staying there beyond the seating of the new government next year.
