People like this weary me

Rightwingsparkle posts a story about a man short on tolerance and long on time to create mischief.

Seems said man, after having reproduced (!!!) gets annoyed when offspring comes home from school with a backpack full of the usual ubiquitous flyers and spots one that :::horrors::: has the dreaded "M" word on it.

No. Not THAT one. The word that set our easily-offended male off was the word "Methodist". Now, it wasn't a prayer sheet, nor admonishments that male and family had better get DOWN on thar knees and PRAY! God be PHA-RAISED!. It was just an annoucement that the Methodists were going to run a Pumpkin Patch of Salvation! Praise Jesus!

Oh...nope ...sorry 'bout that. The Methodists are going to run a Pumpkin Patch just in time for Halloween with proceeds going to the Methodist's charitable activities.

See, for Mr. What can I find to get my tidy whities in a bunch about this week? he couldn't quite get past the word "Methodist" on the flyer and felt this was nothing more than another Xtian Stealth Proselytizing Weapon of Mass Conversion. This was nothing more than Forced Religion™, another ...

No. Stop. Enough. I'm done with this Pavlov's poodle who wouldn't have blinked twice at a Pumpkin Patch run by the Red Cross with the proceeds for hurricane relief. I don't even have the energy to jump through the hoops to register at his site to laugh at his religiophobia. After arguing with people about Bill Bennett's remarks (here and there) and being told again and again that I just don't understand that blacks think differently than whites and that makes ME a racist, I'm just chalking it up to planetary alignment, a misaligned autumnal equinox or just plain left-induced-brainrot.

I'm going to go search out a better mood.

Definitely it's left-induced-brainrot.

They are either knee jerk reactionists, ignorant or deliberately obtuse in order to claim that conservatives=racists. It's funny however, that some of them say the most racist things as they claim that conservatives (or individuals that are conservative) are racist.

...and being told again and again that I just don't understand that blacks think differently than whites and that makes ME a racist...

You deny reality. Read this: Katrina through the Prism of Race

Blacks do think differently to whites, Darleen. They do have different perceptions and opinions than whites as this report clearly demonstrates. Conservatives like you want to deny the existence of race in this country because it serves your morally bankrupt cause aimed at repudiating the need to address racial discrimination and disadvantage. Yes, that conscious and perverse denial makes you a racist.

You make my point for me. You believe melinan levels exist in the grey matter of the brain, that somehow blacks add 2 + 2 differently than whites. That blacks will NOT understand that a slab of wood on four legs in a dining room is NOT a cat but a table.

That, sir, makes YOU the racist.

I think that human beings are all given a capacity to reason, to perceive reality as it is. To go beyond their own experience even as they come from their experience.

If ANYONE has a perception that diverges radically from reality, one then does what one can to change it -- one does NOT say... "well, ya gotta make some allowance for them darkies. Ya know they's like children sometime, so happy with their li'l fantasie worlds..."

F*ck you and the KKK/Leftist horse you rode in on.

:-D
When confronted with real-world evidence that refutes their perverse little ideas, conservatives always resort to dissembling and name-calling.

That report is clear evidence that the black community has different perceptions and opinions to the white community. And all you offer back is an absurdly simplistic physiological argument about melanin which completely ignores the important social and cultural dimensions. This fallacy is then followed up with equally absurd arguments based on arithmetic and visual perception.

But then... as a completely devastating proof of your racism, you then claim that the black community's perception and opinions diverge "radically from reality", and are thus invalid and should be changed. To what? To a white conservative view of reality?

The black community see right through this conservative agenda. That's why they never vote for the GOP.

Now you're into talking about communities...IE CULTURE, which has some validity.

Certainly, some demographics which share certain CULTURAL characteristics WILL differ with others over certain events, traditions, etc.

Now, when a certain community as Louis Farrahkan as a "leader" engaging in "White people blew up the New Orleans levees" and it believes him, that is not the fault of WHITE RACISM. When Farrahkan's thugs (as they call themselves) perpetuate LIES on par with the idea that Zionists secretly run this country that is not the fault of WHITE RACISM.

So, Slayer, go pat yourself on the back that black racists play the Leftist collectivist game of continuing to LIE about people who leave your plantation.

Do have any idea of how you are contradicting yourself? You accuse me of indulging in collectivism and yet you present a spotlight fallacy based upon the propaganda of a racist extremist to suggest that the "irrational" perceptions and opinions of the entire black community cannot to any degree be attributed to white racism.

You and Farrakhan are cut from the same cloth - it's only the color of the racism that is different. You are incapable of constructing a cogent argument on this subject that has any balance or honesty. Instead you run to one extreme of the spectrum and hurl stale and ignorant slogans just like Farrakhan. But I suppose that's all you are really capable of.
