The moral connection between racists and the radical Left

Racism, it has been posited, is the most primitive of collectivism. What can be more anti-individual than the ideology that melanin level is an indication of immutable characteristics – i.e. laziness, sloth, dishonesty, or stupidity? From the idea of wiping out “the inferior” to the idea of “the white man’s burden”, bigotry hard or soft is still bigotry borne of the collectivist ideology of racism.

The radical Left plays its own cover of the racists’ song by making melanin level an indication of immutable political characteristics. The radical Left stakes out an “authentic political tenet” then declares that all individuals of a particular melanin (or gender or sexual orientation) MUST fully, completely and without question, adhere to such tenet or be declared an apostate (“inauthentic”). In addition, just as racists use the “inherent badness” of its target group as the explanation of all faults and problems of a society, so do Leftists who target class groups – “corporations”, “businesses”, and “the rich”. Racists lament “if only we could get rid of black/brown/jew how much better it would be for us!” Leftists lament “if only we could get rid of rich/white males/jew/corporations how much better it would be for us!” Both collectivist ideologies purposely refuse to deal with the fact that single characteristics, either melanin or bank account levels, are no indication of an individual’s moral worth.

There are good and bad individuals in every demographic. Morality is about choice, not skin color. It is about having good values and also acting on those good values. It is not about whether you have an Oscar on the mantelpiece or have to work two jobs to feed your children, it is about how you live your life – choosing to live as a human being, not as an animal.

Morality is not easy. It takes a fair amount of reflection and good, old [un]common sense to both formulate a system of values proper to human beings and have the internal fortitude to try and follow them. Moral people, unlike racists and Leftists, do not demand perfection from others. Moral people realize that no one is perfect and look at morality like a bank account, where deposits and withdrawals happen. Moral people just would like others to have their accounts in the black.

Comments

Of course it is foolish of anyone to think that radical rightwing extremists, of which darleenie is such an ardent apologist, are in anyway racist, or would ever be caught dead generalizing about groups according to their color.

I mean, the Wall Street Journal clearly did not print a Charles Murray (of Bell Curve fame - no racist generalizing there) essay today opining that poor black males represent a hopelessly savage underclass with women who "inertly" abandon their children. Not a WSJ subscriber, so check out the link at American Prospect .

And the Moonie Times did not have an article today describing HUD secretary Alphonse Jackson's dream of a "less black New Orleans".

And really, that Bill Bennet remark? Perfectly sensible, compassionate even, and W. is just a wimp for calling it "not appropriate".

This is bizarro world folks, where racism holds its head high and tells you it's really morality in disguise. And you should know, because the darleenies who populate this fetid swamp are THE arbiters of morality upon this whole vast planet. Their solution to poverty and all the ills that afflict the impoverished is very simple - LECTURES. Kind of like how Karen Hughes is going to change our image in the Arab world by giving them little civics lessons on how the US constitution says "one nation, under God"...(little clue, darlin', it doesn't)

I applaud darleen's nonstop efforts to bellow into the whirlwind that all those stupid black people don't understand that the Repubbies really love them and are only starving their educational system and humilitating them in the media for their own good, to motivate them to want to become little darleenies themselves.

But maybe she might take a break from her self important sanctimony and listen to some things Washington Wizards' Etan Thomas had to say last weekend.

I want to get big yellow buses with no air conditioner and no seatbelts and round up Bill O'Reilly, Pat Buchanan, Trent Lott, Sean Hannity, Dick Cheney, Jeb Bush, Bush Jr. and Bush Sr., John Ashcroft, Giuliani, Ed Gillespie, Katherine Harris, that little bow-tied Tucker Carlson and any other right-wing conservative Republicans I can think of and take them all on a trip to the 'hood.

Not to do no 30-minute documentary. I mean, I want to drop them off and leave them there. Let them become one with the other side of the tracks, get them four mouths to feed and no welfare, have scare tactics run through them like a laxative, criticizing them for needing assistance.

I'd show them working families that make too much to receive welfare but not enough to make ends meet. I'd employ them with jobs with little security - let them know how it feels to be an employee at will, able to be fired at the drop of a hat. I'd take away their opportunities, then try their children as adults, sending their 13-year-old babies to life in prison.

I'd sell them dreams of hopelessness while spoon-feeding their young with a daily dose of inferior education. I'd tell them no child shall be left behind, then take more money out of their schools, tell them to show and prove themselves on standardized exams testing their knowledge on things that they haven't been taught and then I'd call them inferior.

I'm sure darleen can find much to ridicule here from her elitist position of moral lecturing. But don't mind when black people ignore your foolishness. All your bigotry to the contrary, people of color are not stupid and know very well what Republicans stand for .... lies, corruption, war, exploitation and above all, flaming, blaring, glaring moral hypocrisy draped in the gaudiest of sanctimony. Darleen, you're exhibit A why poor people will NEVER, must NEVER trust the Pubbies.

Might also want to read a quick review of The GOP's African American Talking Points, by a Harvard Law grad, one of those non-savage non-morally inert black women. Funny, she doesn't buy Darleen's GOPropaganda either.

Again...please not that Snicker/Hrubec/et al cannot source its charge that I "apologize" for the "radical rightwing."

It is definitely one of the morally inferior radical LEFT wing.

(BTW, it should be noted I have spoken out, forcefully, against ANY collectivist ideology. Islamism, racism, and groups like the KKK, Church of Christian Identity are radical rightwing ... THIS is why the David Duke has come out in support of Cindy Sheehan. The radical wings both have totalitarian collectivism as their base.)

Posted by: Darleen at September 30, 2005 05:14 PM

Oh...btw again S/H/et

Bennett's full quote boils down to this sentiment

"It is MORALLY WRONG, IT IS REPREHENSIBLE to abort black babies EVEN IF you can show a "social" good like reduction in crime."

But then again, that was what Margaret Sanger was all about, right? Patron saint of the nihilist Left and all.

Posted by: Darleen at September 30, 2005 05:32 PM

Patron saint of the nihilist Left....by which apparently the Darleen-beast means me...only I haven't the foggiest notion about Margaret Sanger except that I believe she was an early advocate of birth control, something I'm guessing the "raunch" fan darleen (please don't let that image linger in my brain) is in favor of.

And I (or "it", as the Raunchy One likes to refer to me) am definitely of the morally inferior radical left wing...It seems darleen's moral compass isn't really all that rooted in any firm basis after all. I could have sworn she said morality was a measure of making choices and sacrifices and living by them...doing things like paying the mortgage and your taxes and keeping the kids grades up and going to their games and not being a drunk and not cheating on your spouse and being a steady employee and being polite to your clients and doing an honest days work for an honest days pay....Gee, I guess you can do all those things, like I do, like most every person I've ever met in my life does, like almost every person on the PLANET does...but you're still morally inferior to DARLEEN...because you think her asinine arguments are bullshit and you tell her so.

See this complex world is much easier to understand when you're in Darleen's Place, where morality is whatever darleen says it is, through whatever purple haze of rage she's currently been (oh, so easily) provoked into.

Posted by: Snicker at September 30, 2005 07:00 PM

Just once I'd like to see Darleen publish a rant about the morality displayed by US soldiers exchanging photos of dead & dismembered Iraqs for FREE PORN ...She's mentioned time and again, as all rightard jihadists do, that the military they worship from afar (very afar) is mainly Republican. I'd like to see her connect those dots.

Or maybe the morality of the US government using "covert propaganda" (in the words of its own GAO) to mislead voters during an election.

Is that moral in DarleenyWorld? Probably, its just irrelevant. The only morality this Raunch Lover is interested in is the one that says Americans who disagree with their government, and express that disagreement publically, are vile and inferior moral beings. That's it.

Admit it Darleen. The only thing you find immoral is free speech in the hands of those who don't hold your Randian political views and who don't respect your status as hostile chickenhawk.

The motivation behind a lot of leftist moral preening resembles that behind old school Southern racism, to me. A certain type of person's sense of self is dependent on defining some other group as inferior. Race is no longer a fashionable way of doing this, so a lot of them now need people who don't agree with particular utopian proposals to be monsterous opponents of utopia. I'm a bit of a Sowelhead.

Posted by: Dave Munger at October 1, 2005 05:23 PM

Dave Munger, the only "moral preening" you'll find on this site is Darleen kissing her own ass. It's basically the only purpose of this blog.

[Darleen says: readers will note that Snicker/Hrubec/Anon/et al doesn't have the cajones to run its own blog. Its indecent ramblings here do serve as a window on the radical Leftist totalitarian mindset.]

Posted by: Snicker at October 2, 2005 04:35 AM

Snicker says: readers will note that Snicker has no interest in wasting cash running a blog and visits this one only because it is very useful as a window into the rigor mortis of conservative thinking, as displayed by one of its most vile cultists - the belligerant, unimaginative, intolerant female conservative.

There is nothing radical about my comments, nor anything totalitarian, displayed clearly by darleen's inabilty to even pretend to substantiate either claim. In fact, darleeny has been unable to engage me in any substantive discussion of what my view might actually be, since she is clearly either too frightened or too stupid to hold her own in any such discussion. She only knows the tactics of extremism - demonization of the legitimate opposition, insults, ridicule and self aggrandizement.

It will shock no one to watch such an empty school of "thought" dissolve in the coming months and years. But thank you, Darleen, you've been a big encouragement to me and mine. Your kind of pubbie - the angry idiot - is one of the most frustrating to deal with, but you've shown me very clearly how you are also the most irrelevant. It's like shootiing fish in a barrel arguing with you - dead fish.

Darleen, it looks like you have got your very own troll with the very appropriate name of Snicker. I'm guessing this creep is a vicious, bitter, envious and angry old commie queen who spends most of his time snickering and gossipping behind his friends' backs.

Trolls specialize in being nasty assholes and thrive on being attacked and insulted because they are sado-masochists and spend most of their time trolling other peoples' blogs because have no personal life. The best thing to do is ignore them.

Posted by: PatC at October 2, 2005 07:39 AM

"Old commie queen" who spends "his" time? Oh, PatC, I don't think darleen approves when you make homosexual insinuations. The rightwing is the tolerant, diverse side of America...didn't you get that memo?

And thanks for demonstrating the intellectual rigor mortis of the rightardists by pulling out that hoary old insult "commie"... Makes me think you must be quite an old geezer yourself, though that foolish irrelevancy seems to be enjoying a comeback amongst the intellectually bankrupt and desperate wingers.

And kudos for completing the winger trifecta by practicing your amateur psychology on a complete stranger. That's another staple of the masturbatory winger echo chamber...I'm sure Darleen appreciated the little thrill you gave her by joining in on the circle jerk.

I've had enough fun here. All my preconceptions confirmed. The right is not only out of ideas, they don't even have the energy left to pretend.
