Too sick for words

In defense of Saddam. Have your barf-bags at ready.

I don't see what is offensive about the article, with the possible exception of the headline, which doesn't accurately reflect the content of the article anyway and also was probably written by someone else.

Do you think Saddam shouldn't have a fair trial?? We all know he's guilty, of course, but that hardly means he's not entitled to due process, given that the US captured him alive.

I think that Saddam should be entitled to quality legal services. What bothers me about Ramsey Clark is his attempt to use this grandstand to bash President Bush. It's a Mark Thurman kind of thing. That tactic annoys the heck out of me. Let's just have Saddam's defense and his best interest served by his legal team. Mr. Clark is just a LLL upset about the loss of leftist power in the USofA. Big deal!

The United States, and the Bush administration in particular, engineered the demonization of Saddam

Why yes, GW is the one that hanged Jews in the square when Saddam seized power. GW is the one that made Saddam invade Kuwait, gas Kurds, shovel Iraqi men, women, children into mass graves, allow his sons to randomly pick out girls and women on the street to rape and murder ...

Yessirree...if it weren't for bad old GW demonizing Uncle Saddam for the last 40 or so years all would be laughing children and kite-flying in Iraq.

Darleen:
I hope you don't think I support what Saddam had done. I believe he is one of the most despicable people the world has ever known. And I trust he will be held accountable and properly punished for whatever deeds he is convicted. My point is that Mr. Clark seems more interested in the demonization of President Bush than in the defense of Saddam. And his intended tactic is "Pay no attention to the scum in the box, the real criminal is GWB. -- Therefore acquit my client"

- In response to Kennedy's pro-Jihadist speech Ms Kopechne could not be reached for comment....

- One of the Iraqi consulate workers mentioned on FOX the other day that so far the interum government has gathered a list of 1.2 million Iraqi's that have been murdered under Husseins regime in the years he ruled.... and they haven't reached the end of the counting yet.... Wonder why that never shows up in any of the AssHat crowds speeches.....

My Oh my, why would Saddam trust a filthy American "devil" to defend him?
Could it be that none of the educated, capable lawyers in the country can bring themselves so low?

Really now, we must see to it Madman Saddam has a decent defense or the whole world will cry default and insist the trial be annulled or whatever the hell the word is. Surely we don't want the UN to get involved in this trial. Several of its members were getting rich off this dictator, they certainly want hime freed so they can lay hands on more of the money he has tucked away.
Seriously though, a good defense is the American way of showing justice, fairness and the democratic way. Let freedom ring...............

- I'm all for that Morgan....We'll try him properly, convict him under proper law, and then in the shadow of the 100,000's of thousands of the graves of the men, woman, and children he raped, tortured, and murdered we'll let freedom ring.....we'll tie cow bells to his shoes that will ring loud and clear when he dances at the end of a rope....Though you probably won't be able to heaar them from the cry's of justice screamed from the lips of the families destroyed by this murdering lumitic.....

Has anyone noticed that since Saddam is in custody which means the kickbacks from the oil for food program have ended, Kofi Annan has finally found his voice?

After some 20 years of murder, rape, and abuse of human rights in Iraq, dear Mr. Annan has this to say about events in Darfur. Read the whole story at the site
:http://apnews1.iwon.com/article/20050202/D8803HQO2.html

"What is vital is that these people are indeed held accountable. Such grave crimes cannot be committed with impunity. That would be a terrible betrayal of the victims, and of potential future victims in Darfur and elsewhere."

Gee, suddenly murdering people is bad, he must have had a bout of conscience. It never evoked words like this when it was Iraqis being slaughtered by their own leader.
