Religion of Peace (ma) at it again

Nothing like getting up, getting ready for work, sipping my first cup o'coffee and being greeted with this headline:

Bus Bombings in Southern Israel Kill 11

JERUSALEM - Two buses exploded almost simultaneously in southern Israel on Tuesday, killing at least 11 people and wounding more than 20 in the first major Palestinian attack inside Israel in nearly six months, rescue officials said.

It was not immediately clear whether the explosions were set off by suicide bombers. The buses went up in flames near a main intersection in the center of Beersheba, the largest city in southern Israel, 25 miles west of Gaza City.

Not immediately clear? Oh, I get it. We must give equal suspicion to those Beserker Baptists in Israel trying to blow up Jews.

Kerry's Buried Book now FREE online!

John Kerry wrote a book with the VVAW in 1971 entitled "The New Soldier." Kerry has refused to allow any republication of that book and story has it, bought up every copy he has been able to lay his hands on.

But wonder no longer what it says or even dream about paying hundreds of dollars for a copy of it off of eBay. You can get a .pdf copy of the book offered for free at freekerrybook-dot-com.

Do it now. Do it before Kerry finds a way to lawyer-up and get the site shut down.

UPDATE 9/7/04: Thanks to poster DP111 letting me know, it looks like the site is unavailable. I did download the pdf to my local computer. I'll make it available this evening. I have pretty much read the whole thing and want to comment on it.

Morons on Parade

For the last, oh, about 20 minutes or so I've been watching CSPAN and the raw coverage of the anti-GOP "protesters" in NYC. Everything from chants of "F*ck FoxNews" to "Bush is a terrorist" makes me think that the GOP was brilliant in accepting NYC's invitation to have their convention there (and before someone sniffs at the VRWC, do note that the Democrats were also offered to hold their convention in NYC. However, the Dems wouldn't accept unless the GOP was banned, something the GOP didn't ask for in reverse. Hmmm...looks like "mean-spiritedness" is not the exclusive province of the GOP.)

A lively play-by-play discussion is happening right now on Little Green Footballs.

First

Whew! Well, as much as I've loved learning HTML, doing layouts, graphic designs and even having some fun with babystep programming (I can JavaScript and in school also had fun with VB) I've never done much server-side stuff and installing, learning and taking my first foray into Movable Type has been...well interesting.

I gotta say the Tech Support at Hosting Matters has been very patient with me. Annette and Stephanie are my particular angels. Thanks, gals!

So, do excuse this default design, I'm pouring over a new book and will be learning as I go along. That includes linking to all my old stuff, too, as well as being as opinionated and nosy as I've always been.
